Trade the London-session breakout

London Breakout EA is an automated Expert Advisor supplied for MetaTrader 4. According to the included manual, it identifies an intraday trading range and waits for a breakout before opening a position.

Strategy and controls

London-session opening time configured in broker server time.
Position sizing by balance percentage, fixed amount or fixed lot.
Configurable stop loss, take profit, range limits, spread filter and slippage.
Weekday trading controls and a Magic Number setting.

What is included

London_Breakout EA.ex4 for MT4.
10 original pair-specific SET files: EURUSD, GBPUSD, EURJPY, GBPJPY, EURAUD, CADCHF, USDCHF, USDCAD, EURCAD and USDJPY.
Original PDF manual and supplemental quick-start installation guide.

Compatibility and setup

This EX4 package is for MetaTrader 4, not MetaTrader 5. Copy the EA into MQL4/Experts, refresh MT4, attach it to the chosen demo chart and load the corresponding SET file through Inputs. Review all settings before enabling automated trading. The manual states that the EA uses its own intraday logic regardless of the attached chart timeframe.

Match the London opening setting to your broker server time and daylight-saving schedule. Supplied presets are historical starting points, not current trading recommendations. A running terminal or suitable VPS is needed while the EA is expected to operate. Current MT4 build compatibility, activation requirements and live execution have not yet been independently tested for this listing.

Historical backtests: 2010–2016

The gallery includes original EURUSD and GBPUSD Strategy Tester screenshots extracted from the supplied manual. The manual describes tests from January 1, 2010 to December 1, 2016, with a $1,000 initial deposit and 15-point test spread. These are historical simulations, not verified live-account results, and have not been independently reproduced. Refer to each report for its own risk and drawdown figures.

False breakouts, spreads, slippage, commissions and broker execution can affect results. Historical settings may not suit present market conditions. Higher position risk increases potential drawdowns; stop orders do not guarantee an execution price.

Digital delivery

After payment confirmation, eligible orders receive a download link for one ZIP containing the EA, all 10 settings files, the manual and quick-start guide. Software files are not included in the public product gallery.

Trading risk

Forex and leveraged trading involve substantial risk. Automated systems do not guarantee profits or prevent losses. Past performance and backtests are not reliable indicators of future results. Test on a demo account before considering live use.
